Happy Birthday to Uncle Ben

my little brother (and Connor's uncle) is 26 today! I believe this concludes the Birthday Bonanza that was February.

I know - the number of birthdays this month is a little ridiculous - and there are more!! Connor went to Brandon's 2nd birthday party today. He had a great time - although we forgot our camera - I'm sure Heather will post some cute pics on The Chisholm Trail soon. The cake was delicious! Happy Birthday Brandon!

New Stats

Connor had his 6 month appointment today - He is a healthy boy! He is now 95% for height and still 75% for weight! He is 28 1/4 inches long and 18 pounds 10 ounces! Next scheduled appointment is at 9 months!

We've got a Crawler!

Connor started to crawl (forward) last Wednesday! (It took me this long to figure out how to upload the video) - I know, ridiculous! I would have put my money on the cats as Connor's motivation to crawl . . . but alas, it was a ball that influenced the crawl. He is still working on the mechanics of the crawl itself but he is able to move forward and seems very pleased with his progress. I was going to include a video of Connor's first crawl. His actual first crawl was minutes before I had the video camera and actually a little better "form-wise" but the first video is like 4 minutes long . . . so I am including a more recent version from this morning -Connor crawling after the cats (who luckily are still too quick for him).

Happy Birthday Uncle Neal - and Happy 6 Months to Connor

As I said, several birthdays this month (more to come) . . . Happy Birthday to Uncle Neal (Neal is actually throwing himself a birthday party tonight - at Taps - if anyone is interested) - I hear that there are party favors.

Connor wants to wish everyone a Happy Valentines Day! He is able to sit up on his own and play the drums he got this week from his Great Aunt NJ -


He also loved playing with his new love kitten from his Great Aunt Cathy and Uncle Chuck. Connor can pull the whiskers all day long (Aubie and Hurley (our cats) run away when he starts pulling on them).

Happy Birthday Pop Pop!

There are so many birthdays to celebrate this month! Happy Birthday to Colin's dad and Connor's Pop Pop! Connor was all decked out in his Duke gear last night - too bad Duke lost . . . but . . . Go Duke! Love, Connor.

Happy Birthday Jo Jo!

Sorry we haven't been updating as much lately. Last week we enjoyed a visit from my parents and now we are getting ready for a big weekend (Connor's 6 month birthday!) plus more!

First, a Happy Birthday wish to my mom and Connor's JoJo! Connor had a blast with her last week. He showed off getting on all fours and rocking back and forth.


We have also been trying out new foods. I got a Babycook which is really cool. It steams, purees and reheats the food for Connor. Last week we "made" peas and this week we are enjoying carrots. The appliance is actually very cool as I said but the directions were almost non-existent. I think they were first written in French and then translated to English. I can read French (mostly) but I must admit I did not study that many cuilnary words. After a few hours of reading and rereading the directions (what little ones we had) we successfully steamed the peas! Reheating is really a breeze too. I am very happy with the Babycook! Next week we are going to switch to a fruit - maybe pears.
