We are recovering from our first car ride down the east coast. Early Tuesday morning we left Baltimore to travel to Durham.

We stayed overnight in Durham - our first hotel stay with Connor. He hasn't been sleeping that well (we think because of teething - but we have yet to see any teethies). I requested a crib. The crib looked like it was out of
The Shining! Luckily I brought our own sheet for the crib - first, because the crib was scary enough - I can't imagine what the sheets would have looked like from the hotel - and second, I can't imagine what the sheets would have looked like because they didn't offer a sheet! So, anyway, Connor did OK for the first night. We then travelled to Atlanta. We had great weather and made good time. I was feeling a little under the weather - and seemed to have passed my stuffy nose onto little Connor. We had to take a rain check for some friends (and their babies) we planned to see because I was sick . . . but we did get to visit some big kids!
My friend Kelly's kids were out of town so Connor had full run of her house and toys. Connor looks so comfortable on the dumptruck . . . maybe he will follow his cousins and great uncle in construction.

Connor with his aunt Kelly . . .

Later that day we arrived in Hotlanta and saw some of Colin's friends from college and my cousin Taylor.
Speaking of my cousins . . . I was the first grandchild on both sides of my family (so is Connor) and I was the only girl for 9 years. There are 5 boys inbetween and then finally another baby girl. My cousin Katherine got engaged last week! Congrats Katherine - can't wait to see you!

We finally arrived in Birmingham on Thursday. Connor got to see his great-grandmother again! He loves his Nina!

Moor to come on our trip . . . later this month!
