MOVERS . . . soliciting comments

Okay people! I need mover recommendations ASAP. If you have used movers that are great - or terrible PLEASE let me know! THANKS.

Countdown to DTV

There are only 9 days left until I can finally escape from the constant reminders in commercials and on the news that networks will broadcast in exclusively in digital (not analog)! Seriously, is anyone else sick of these "reminders"?? The "TRANSITION" was supposed to occur back in February (and I was sooo looking forward to that day). Then, just as the day approached . . . Congress granted an extension - in case someone wasn't AWARE of the transition day. In case someone wasn't ready for the transition!! After months and months of reminders - who wasn't ready??? I mean, come on people! I only hope that June 12th is the day that the transition occurs and we can STOP THE MADNESS! (Thanks for letting me vent)

Our House

We have a contract on our new house! Although this isn't the first house we put an offer on . . . it is "ours" assuming nothing goes wrong with the inspection, insurance, etc. I am a little afraid of jinxing it with a post . . . now we just need to sell our house here. The shutters have been painted to match the door (chocolate brown). It is certainly big enough to entertain guests for any of you that want to come and visit!

Loungin'

So, we got up to the pool for an hour yesterday. I set Connor down on the lounge chair so I could grab his bottle. I was a little concerned that he would try to crawl off the chair or climb up the back. Instead, he finally shows signs that he is indeed my child. . .
Connor has also proven he his his daddy's child (well, if it wasn't obvious by looking at him) he has also taken over his daddy's blackberry habits.

We spent Saturday with family. We saw Connor's cousins (2nd) at his Great Uncle Scott's 60th birthday. Connor with Uncle Scott and Aunt Karen -
The cousins playing in the baby pool . . .

Baby Emi and Connor - Emi walked right up to Connor and gave him a hug and a kiss (which of course I missed with the camera) . . . Emi is only 5 weeks older than Connor but is walking and is SUPER ADORABLE!

Pattycakes

So, Connor learned to "pattycake" himself last week. Well, the credit is really due to my mom. She patiently taught Connor to clap. And now . . . he claps all the time. It is so freaking adorable! I must get it on video but I am on a video hiatus at the moment. (I left the camera in Alabama). He claps for himself when he eats a Cheerio. He has been such a trooper the past few weeks travelling from place to place and crib to crib. The fact that he is sleeping at all is truly amazing. He isn't back to full sleeping through the night . . . but he is pretty close most nights so . . .

We went house hunting again when we returned from Key West. We put an offer in on a place and are waiting to hear back. We got our house listed so now it is just a waiting game. The wedding in Key West was beautiful. The weather was amazing! A "few" more pictures from our trip . . .

Our pool in Key West - nice huh?

My Fav pic of Colin and Connor - so cute!

Colin asleep on the hammock swing (I must have one for our new place - but I want the one with the foot rest - it is the heavenly!)

Connor out for a walk with Uncle Ben - the fire hydrant was made in Albertville (where "our people" are from) - this picture makes me laugh.

The Bride and Groom (people would not get out of my way so I could get a good picture)

Con Air

Connor enjoyed his first private flight yesterday into Key West. It was a smooth flight into sunny 80 degree Key West. Colin and I agree that the best part of the flight was not having to interact with any people, period. It was wonderful and a quick trip.
