Meet the Teacher

Connor playing in the playroom at his new school. There is a kitchen so he is happy.

Wee 3K is 2 days a week at the church. The teacher is super sweet amd has been teaching for 40+ years! She says 3 year old are her favorite. God Bless her!

August 24-

Connor's first trip to the Dentist (I was nervous - he wasn't). He was such a good patient.

Waiting to go back

"hiding" in the corner

Connor and his Dentist - all smiles! I am smiling too since we dont have to go back for 6 months!

August 27th -

Happy 2nd Birthday to Mary Casen! (we are celebrating this weekend)

There was a "carnival/festival" at Connor's new school. Cora spent her time in the stroller but Connor enjoyed the moon bounce, dunk tank (he wanted to be the one getting dunked), fishing, face arm painting, and . .

A seat in the back of a police car (luckily w/out the cuffs)

The ladder truck also put on a show. Connor could have watched this for hours. But it was hot when the breeze slowed and we left to take Cora home.

August 28-

My birthday - best present Cora likes her swing and dinner at my parent's house. Delicious. Oh and the gorgeous orange leather Hobo wallet I found on sale (yes, probably b/c it is orange but I love orange) and bought for myself from my kids (love that).

August 30- First Day of School!

Connor and Colin

Connor with his name tag and required giant tote bag - I think he could fit in the tote bag- but that is the only bag he is allowed to bring.

to give into connor's constant request to ride in daddy's car To make my life easier, Colin drives Connor to school (in my defense it is on the way to the office). As you can see, Connor is thrilled about the ride. School not so sure about - but he is excited to ride to school. Baby steps.

Connor liked school (i.e. He went back today) and to celebrate Connor's very first day of school EVER my mom kept Cora and Connor enjoyed a burger and fries (and unsweet tea - he ordered it) from Mugshots. If you are in town, eat meat and haven't been - you should go. The veggie burger is also delicious.

THE END OF AUGUST (nearly finished the post in August too). This is the first and last post like this. I am exhausted but happy I have a memory of Cora's first month. Connor's first month was such a blur I wanted to make sure I remembered/ documented this one better.

Check-Ups

Connor needed his 3 year old appt and Cora needed a 2 week check-up - I convinced my mom to accompany these 3 C's to the pediatrician this afternoon. Their pedi is my old pedi so we all love him. The only appt I could get for both on the same day was during naptime. . . Another reason I needed reinforcements!

Cora is up to 8 lbs 5 oz and is 21.5 inches (no percentiles given) & her cord finally fell off late last night! First real bath tonight! As we expected she disliked the real bath just as much as she disliked the sponge bath.

Connor is 34 lbs and 39 to 39.5 inches (hard to measure a busy boy) so roughly 60/90 percentiles respectively.
