2 Months

Cora is 2 months old today. She is certainly much bigger than she was last month! 3 month clothes are fitting perfectly and I am packing up all the newborn clothes today. In fact, she has put on enough weight that we can see glimpses of Davis dimples. So far, I think Cora looks like Colin's family but with our coloring. I suspect this may change so I want to remember the resemblances by age. Here are a few facts about C.

Cora LOVES her changing table. Connor did too. I think it is because the mirror has a shadow she can see (the contrast) and also the fan shadows. She will talk (coo) continuously. It is precious.

Cora also LOVES her mobile. It is the same one Connor had but she really likes it. Connor wasn't quite as impressed. She will watch it for so long I can take a shower and get dressed before I even hear a peep. Amazing!

Her legs are strong and she is a mover. She will turn 180 degrees in her crib in no time. She usually has clenched fists and will try to box. Connor loves to try to hold her hand or foot. He thinks she is "quick" and too fast for him. So funny.

Cora finally had a bath she didn't hate. She didn't smile or cry. We'll take neutral.

She continues to be an unprectitably good sleeper. Some days are better than others but she is averaging (not scientific math) 5.25 hours of continuous, uninterrupted sleep at night. She is stretching about 8-10 hours between feedings at night.

Friday Foto

This week was purple week at Connor's school. He wore purple both Tuesday and Thursday. Of course this was a Ravens jersey each day since we dont have other purple clothes. I put Cora in some lavendar so she could participate. . .She was thrilled.

Sweet Connor told Cora "I will teach you how to talk and go to the potty."

A good day.

6 Week Check-in for Check-up

Miss Cora is 6 weeks old (as of Monday). She went to the doctor yesterday. Here are her stats:

Weight: 10 lbs 10 oz. (75%)
Height: 23 inches (90%)

Connor is on the mend but carrying a nasty cough. I am sick, now - just in time for the weekend. Hopefully the meds will work quick wonders.

Game Day Get-up

A little bit late -

War Eagle! This has been a stressful season so far - luckily Auburn escaped with 2 wins and the Ravens destroyed the Steelers.

Connor & Colin had a guys trip last weekend to Auburn and the lake. Connor wasn't too into the actual football game- but he thoroughly enjoyed himself. A few pics . . .

The guys . . .(Big Daddy, Uncle Ben, Connor & Colin)

Ready for the game . . .

Practicing . . . Colin was a kicker in high school. Apparently Connor kicked the ball no less than 45 times. He insisted that Colin "set it up again!" (I'm hearing it like Will Farrell in Old School).

Connor came home with terrible allergy congestion and an ear infection as a result - uggh! He missed music on Monday, school on Tuesday - I am hoping he can go tomorrow for school pictures.

Twin Friends

Cora and her besties: Sophie & Sophie

She actually has little interest in Sophie but she loves to snuggle hold and Sophies are good for that too.

1 Month Old

Cora's month onesies are courtesy of Heather & Chrissy. I have seen so many other kids on blogs with specific month outfits and thought to myself and outloud "who would buy 12 shirts you will literally only wear for 1 day?"
Well it turns out at least a few people are smarter than me. . . The month circles are stickers! I know, genius.

Cora slept through the night Monday night (10:45 - 5:00) so 6 hours! Hasnt come close since . . . But even 1 night was amazing!

Cora is destined for drama. I haven't captured a picture yet but will soon . . . I am determined to document this: she pulls her own hair - doesn't/can't let go and screams bloody murder. It is so funny!

She likes her swing most days and will enjoy her bouncy seat long enough for me to slice up some fruit and veggies.

We took our first walk on Tuesday while Connor was at school. It is just under 2 miles up our street & back. My chins are sore! I cant wait to get the go ahead to workout - just on the elliptical. Cora wasn't sure (i.e. Cried) until we passed the 2nd house and then snoozed the rest of the stroll! Hopefully we can walk every school morning - weather permitting.

Some 0-3 month clothes still look clownish / fall off her, but she is getting bigger and definitely longer!

Today is Connor's 2nd day of school. As Colin was trying to get him out the door, he said "mommy, you take a picture?" I can't wait to see if we take a picture every day. Especially since some days I can't bribe a picture - not to mention a smile.

I'll take what I can get.

Cannot believe it is September. Excited for football (starts tonight) but so sad to see summer go . . .
