8 months

Cora is 8 months old today. This girl loves her some food. She constantly amazes everyone at her ability to put away food. Cora loves to army crawl, sit up (and spit up), pull up on short toys, and cruise with supervision. She nearly crawled correctly today but then gave up and tried to stand. really? Her hair is getting lighter every day. It is blond on one side and reddish brown up top and down the other side. She talks all the time. Especially if she thinks food is coming, Connor is nearby or the cats make an appearance. She has a second tooth that has just pushed through on the bottom. She knows her name and will turn to look at you if you call her by name. She also knows what "hands up" means in relation to dinner and her eat seat. She also knows the word eat (see above). Here are her 8 month pics

You can definitely see her 1st tooth but second one is still too small to see

Trampoline Troll (monster)

Connor today at Wee Flip. I usually don't like trampolines but this one was small and only 1 kid at a time. Safeish.

Spring into Summer

It's spring but feels like summer. I love it. I would be happy with 2 weeks of fall, 2 weeks of winter, 2 weeks of spring and summer the rest of the year.

Even though we haven't been swimming yet - the pool is calling. Cora had a little dress-up fashion session. This is a sweet suit from Cora's godmother's parents. Reminds me of one of my favorite books The Great Gatsby.

Love the swim cap

I turned around to put away the swimsuit and when I looked back our not-yet 8 month old was doing this

And this

She may walk before she crawls. Although army crawling gets her everywhere she wants to be. Fast.

Zoo

We went to the Zoo with 5 million other people this morning. The Macaws are right at the entrance and were very loud today. Almost fighting and at least arguing. Connor said: "those birds are saying 'do you have a cracker? NO! Do you have a cracker? NO!'".

Spring Break I

Since it is spring break around here we are looking for activities to keep us busy. First stop Nina's house.

Love!

So sweet these kids get to see their great-grandmother so often. Cora is named after her great-great grandmothers.

Next Stop. After nap walks/rides.

Next stop Zoo!

Mothers Lunch

Connor's school hosted the sweetest Mother's Lunch for the 3K moms. We arrived at the classroom, knocked on the door, and each child greeted his mom with a bouquet of handmade flowers. Connor then escorted me to his seat. The kids served us a lunch, made by the kids, sang songs and played in a band to serenade the moms.

The placemat. (Cora talks to Connor's picture at breakfast).
