Playing Catch Up

So, I have slacked off with the blog recently -- mainly due to the fact that we are busy and tired. But, I must be better about it. I must confess I have been following my other favorite blogs but not updating my own (which is terrible!). Anyway, we are safely in Birmingham (not forever) but for a few weeks. Connor is starting to adjust (i.e. he is starting to sleep a little better at night) to central time and the HEAT. I love it (high of 96 today)!

Connor is now 10 months old (as of this past Sunday) Hard to believe I get to start planning the 1st birthday party(ies) soon. I think we are going to have to have 2 this year (at least). I am thinking I want the theme to be The Very Hungry Caterpillar. There is an adorable cake pan from Williams Sonoma that I love. At 10 months, Connor still isn't walking but we think it could be any day (preferably he will wait until we are moved and have baby gates). He knows peek-a-boo and initiates it. He loves to read books and play with blocks. He waves hello and good bye. Here are a few pics of Connor at 10 months in his new monkey shirt from Auntie Cathy. He is shaking the Cheerios like a maraca.

Before we left for Birmingham, we got together with Connor's cousin Brandon and family for dinner. Of course we all had a great time. Connor enjoyed playing with Brandon's toys and his godmother.

We believe we are going to settle on our new house on the 30th (I say "we believe" because in our world, what can go wrong - sometimes does). Assuming all goes as planned, we will own two homes by July (yippee).

In other news, our friends Laurel and Troy welcomed the arrival of Miss Mia earlier this month. Congrats!
