7 weeks old, today

Connor is 7 weeks old today. He is still getting through his 6 week growth spurt, which means he is hungry more often throughout the day and more frequently at night -- I clearly jinxed our sleep by commenting on his 4 hour stretches of sleep. We are hoping to get back to 4 hour sleep soon. Here he is with a belly full of milk and all relaxed in his swing.

Connor is starting to really use his hands to grab objects (namely, my hair) but also shirts and strings. When Connor was born he was delivered to our hosptial room with his arms and hands out of the swaddle. He has been swinging his arms (fondly, left and right hooks) ever since. A few weeks ago he began noticing his fingers and moving his fingers as if he were counting on them (1, 2, 3 . . .). I suppose he determined he could really use those fingers to hold on tight - because whatever he grabs, he holds on for dear life.

He has also a huge fan of kicking his legs and feet. This has also been a trend since day one. He is very strong. Strong enough to kick my laptop off my lap on several occasions. We suspect he will enjoy several sports - again, just like his dad.

Today, we learned that "everyone" was reading Corduroy by Don Freeman. So, Connor and I decided to read it too. Miss Mary gave Connor the book as a gift. Thanks, Mary. As you can see, Connor was into the book.

Family Resemblance

When Connor was born he looked "just like his daddy". Connor even sleeps like Colin. He did inherit at least one dimple from the Davis side -- and maybe a little more. Let me know what you think. . .

Activities

Connor enjoys sleeping,

and playing. . .

Connor has even started sleeping for 4 hours at a time at night . . . Luckily we are sleeping too so we don't have any pictures of "night sleeping".

One Month Old . . .

Connor is growing up very fast. Look how big he is at one month old . .
He just got back from the pediatrician's office. He is suprisingly happy.

meet connor

Connor arrived on August 14th. We checked into the hospital at 5:30 am and Connor arrived in just under 12 hours. Here are a few pictures of our new arrival . . .

You asked . . .

our lives were not nearly as interesting before Connor. Since Connor's arrival, everyone wants to see and know more about him. So, you asked for more . . . here is a blog devoted to providing more about these Moorhouses.
